Volunteer!

We are accepting volunteer applications for the 2020 Lost River Bluegrass Festival. Volunteers are the heart and soul of the event, and represent the festival to the campers, jammers, attendees, bands, and the general public. We couldn't do this without volunteers!  In exchange for 10-12 or more hours of volunteer time, volunteers will receive 3 nights of camping and admission to the festival.

Dates Needed: We will need volunteers to work varying shifts from July 5-13. Volunteers arriving for early work details (Sunday through Thursday July 5-9) will receive free camping for those days.

There are a few positions Monday - Wednesday before the festival, and Monday after the festival – these positions will mostly be set-up and tear-down.  Please see location descriptions below for more details.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Can I see my favorite band?   We will make every effort to schedule you around your favorite band (if there is one), but we can't guarantee it.  There is a section on the application to note your favorite band.

2.  Can I volunteer with my friend?   We will make every effort to make sure you volunteer with your friends.  There is a section on the application where you can put the person's name(s).

3.  Can my children accompany me while volunteering?   We need your full attention during your scheduled volunteer shifts.  So no, children may not accompany you during your volunteer shifts.  Though, of course, they are welcome at the festival and in the camping area.

4.  Does Lost River Festival supply food & drink for volunteers?   Like most other jobs, we ask that you come to volunteer well rested, fed, and hydrated.  We will provide a cooler with bottled water at the volunteer station and we encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottle. You are welcome to bring a non-alcoholic beverage to your shift with you, if you prefer.
